Fries to Step Down from Thornburg Value

Thornburg announced Friday that William Fries will step down from management of Thornburg Value (NASDAQ:TVAFX - News) at the end of 2009 but will remain on the Thornburg equity team and at Thornburg International Value (NASDAQ:TGVAX - News).

Edward Maran and Connor Browne will continue to co-manage Thornburg Value. Maran joined Thornburg in 2002 as an associate portfolio manager and was named managing director in 2006. Browne joined in 2001 as an associate portfolio manager and was named comanager in 2006.
