DALLAS, Jan. 21, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. (NasdaqGS:FFEX - News) announced today that Ronald J. Knutson, age 45, has accepted the position of Chief Financial Officer effective January 19th. Mr. Knutson will also be appointed the company's Principal Financial and Accounting Officer. He replaces Thomas G. Yetter who has left the company.

Mr. Knutson is a certified public accountant and most recently served as Vice President of Finance at Ace Hardware Corporation, a $3.8 billion wholesale distributor and retail services provider. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Mascal Electric, and has nine years of experience in public accounting at KPMG, LLP where he was a Senior Manager.
