Golconda Makes Application to Explore Mitchell Creek Property

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(MARKET WIRE)--Mar 13, 2009 -- GOLCONDA RESOURCES LTD. ("Golconda") (CDNX:GA.V - News) is pleased to announce that it has made application to the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources for a work permit to proceed with a trenching program relating to its Mitchell Creek placer property in northern British Columbia. Golconda's Mitchell Creek property is comprised of approximately 1,375 hectares and is held by Golconda under option as described in a previous news release dated December 9, 2008.

The Mitchell Creek placer property overlays part of Seabridge Gold Inc.'s "Mitchell Zone" which was recently described by Seabridge as "one of the world's largest undeveloped gold/copper deposits".

Golconda plans to conduct its exploration program on the Mitchell Creek property with the goal of advancing the project to production.
