NEW YORK, Nov. 20, 2008 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Green Energy Resources (Other OTC:GRGR.PK - News) has won the contract for New York City's woodchips. The volume of chips is in the 10,000 to 100,000 ton range according to Green Energy Resources CEO Joseph Murray. The chips are produced through the City Parks Department, and Highway Maintenance Departments. The chips will go to Green Energy Resources' Linden, NJ facility prior to shipping. The chips include Christmas tree recycling and storm damaged wood. The amount of the winning bid was not disclosed. Green Energy Resources is currently bidding on several other major east coast cities' supply of woodchips.
