LANCASTER, Pa., Oct. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The Board of Directors for Herley Industries, Inc. (Nasdaq: HRLY - News) announced today that Howard Eckstein has joined Herley as Division President and General Manager for the Company's Herley Lancaster operation.

Mr. Eckstein earned his BSEE from Pennsylvania State University and holds a Master's Degree in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. His employment history includes Herley Industries, L-3 Communications, Loral Corporation, Lockheed Martin, and Microcom Corporation. He resides in Lititz, Pennsylvania.
