GLENVIEW, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois Tool Works Inc., which makes industrial products, said Tuesday it expects to post a fourth-quarter profit from continuing operations of between 54 cents and 66 cents per share.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expect a profit of 56 cents per share.
Also on Tuesday, the company released third-quarter results that beat Wall Street predictions.
In morning trading, Illinois Tool shares rose $1.24, or 2.7 percent, to $47.46.
