STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) -- Information Services Group Inc. on Friday named a new chief financial officer.

The Stamford, Conn.-based company, which manages service contracts for outsourcing or offshoring, said David E. Berger will begin work on Oct. 5. He succeeds Frank Martell, who is relocating to California to accept the CFO position with a privately held company.

Berger was senior vice president, corporate controller and investor relations for The Nielsen Co. and before that worked in corporate finance with publisher Simon & Schuster Inc. and media company Viacom Inc.

Information Services Group shares fell 5 cents to $4.07 in morning trading. They've traded between $2.28 and $5.15 in the past year.
