PORT TOWNSEND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Intellicheck Mobilisa, Inc. (NYSE Amex: IDN), a global leader in access control and wireless security systems, was recognized during last week’s Maritime Security Expo in Long Beach, CA for their Littoral Sensor Grid wireless security buoy technology. Company representatives were presented with the “Best Harbor Security” Award by Admiral (Ret) Jay Cohen, former Under Secretary, Science & Technology Directorate, DHS and former Chief, Office of Naval Research, U.S. Navy. The award recognizes this technology as the most promising for increasing Harbor Security around the country.
The wireless security buoys provide a high-capacity communications Indication and Warning (I&W) network grid to provide real-time security monitoring for marine environments. The buoys include sensors for both environmental and homeland security purposes, including Water Quality, Oil Spill detection, Video and Dirty Bomb detection as well as other security sensors.
