NEW YORK (AP) -- International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. said Monday that Chairman and CEO Robert Amen plans to step down at the end of the month.

The temporary CEO office will include Chief Financial Officer Kevin Berryman; Nicolas Mirzayantz, who is group president of fragrances, and Hernan Vaisman, group president of flavors. They will continue in their current executive roles.

Shares of International Flavors & Fragrances gained 69 cents, or 1.9 percent, to close at $37.91 Monday.
