BEIJING (AP) -- JP Morgan Chase & Co. said Monday it has named a veteran Hong Kong commercial lawyer to be its new chief executive for China.
Zili Shao, Asia managing partner for the Linklaters law firm, will oversee investment banking, treasury, securities services and asset management and the development of new products and services for corporate and investor clients, JP Morgan said.
Shao succeeds Charles Li, who left JP Morgan in June to become chief executive officer of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing, which operates the Hong Kong stock exchange.
