LSI and Accton Announce Platform for Delivering IPTV and Rich Media Services Over Broadband Networks

Collaboration to accelerate delivery of next-generation broadband access platforms

MILPITAS, Calif., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- LSI Corporation (NYSE: LSI - News) and Accton Technology Corporation (TAIEX: 2345) today announced the availability of a new, low-cost hardware and software platform that delivers IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) and next-generation, rich media applications over broadband access networks.

Based on LSI(TM) Advanced PayloadPlus® multicore communications processors (APP) and broadband access software, Accton's production-ready remote DSLAM solution enables OEMs to build products that service providers need to rapidly deploy triple-play services including voice, data and IPTV, along with online gaming and business applications.
