ST. LOUIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LaBarge, Inc. (NYSE Amex: LB) has received a $1.8 million contract from United Space Alliance (USA) to produce complex cables and wiring harnesses for the space shuttle's solid rocket boosters, which provide the main propulsion system that launches the shuttle. LaBarge has supplied cables for the shuttle for more than two decades.
Production on the contract has begun at LaBarge's Joplin, Mo., facility and is expected to continue through March 2010. LaBarge is a recipient of the Space Flight Awareness Supplier award from USA.
