Lavi de Silva Joins WSO2 Executive Team to Lead Global Sales of SOA Solutions

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WSO2, the open source SOA company, today announced that Lavi de Silva has joined the WSO2 management team as vice president of global sales. He brings more than 15 years experience in building enterprise sales and service teams to drive profitable growth. In spearheading WSO2’s global sales team, de Silva will capitalize on his deep expertise in consultative sales that help businesses realize the full potential of their technology investments.

De Silva comes to WSO2 from Cato Global LLC, where he was a founding principal of the McLean, VA-based global IT consulting and marketing firm. Previously, he was executive vice president and general manager of the Washington, DC office for Web application management company Bridgeline Software. While at Bridgeline, de Silva increased revenues by more than 50 percent within six months, bringing the DC office to profitability. Prior to Bridgeline, he served as senior director of client services at Q.Know Technologies, Inc. where, in addition to being the “product evangelist,” he built the enterprise software company’s integrated clients services organization, including sales engineering, implementation service, customer care, and training. De Silva also has driven services as vice president of Akopia, Inc. (acquired by Red Hat), practice director of OneSoft Corporation, and management consultant at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP.
