MELVILLE, NY--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 30, 2008 -- Lend America, a Long Island mortgage bank, has a mission for 2009: to save 10,000 homes from foreclosure, nationwide.

Lend America has already saved a California family from foreclosure with H4H. As the Sheriff was knocking on the door of the home where Terry and Susan Cook reside with their two children, asking them to vacate, their Lend America loan officer stopped the eviction process by speaking to the Sheriff over a cell phone.

Documents stating the Cook's approval for H4H, Help for Homeowners, were faxed to the Sheriff's office from Lend America. H4H is a government-backed direct-to-consumer outreach platform that provides structured refinancing to the borrower by first addressing the borrower's current mortgage and seeking cooperation from the present mortgagee.

Lend America stopped foreclosure on Terry and Susan Cook's home and saved them $250,000 off the principal balance.
