MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MakeMusic, Inc. (NASDAQ:MMUS - News) today announced monthly subscription results for SmartMusic^®, the music learning software for band, orchestra and choir. SmartMusic subscriptions as of February month-end numbered 109,491, representing a net gain of 718 from the previous month and a 20% increase over the prior year. Additionally, at the end of February, 213 schools or districts had joined SmartMusic’s site license program compared to 211 at the end of January.

SmartMusic Impact Gradebook, the web-based student grading and records management system included with SmartMusic, showed 1,789 teachers have issued assignments, a gain of 159 from the previous month and a 62% increase over February of last year. Gradebook teachers, those having issued assignments to 50 or more students, totaled 776 at the end of February. This compares to 695 Gradebook teachers at the end of January and a 64% increase over last year.

Finally, the number of SmartMusic educator accounts was 9,083 compared to 9,140 at the end of January, a decrease of 57 accounts and an increase of 13% over last year.
