MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Staffing company Manpower Inc. said Friday that co-founder Elmer Winter has died.
Winter, who retired in 1976, passed away on Thursday. He was 97 years old.
Shares of Manpower fell $2.10, or 3.9 percent, to $52.17 in afternoon trading Friday.
On Wednesday, Manpower reported a wider third-quarter loss as labor markets continued to shrink. It also forecast fourth-quarter earnings below analysts' estimates.
