LAS VEGAS, Oct. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Tattoo mogul Mario Barth blew the doors off the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Oct. 2-4, 2009, holding The Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth, an event that brought an astonishing 40,000+ crowd.

The Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth was dubbed "the world's largest tattoo convention" by Guinness World Records. The show, which hosted 1,200 tattoo artists and vendors and more than 40,000 visitors far exceeded this year's speculations.

Rock icon Tommy Lee, DJ Aero, DJ Steve Aoki, and DJ Scotty Boy kicked off the weekend at the rumjungle opening party Thursday, Oct. 1. PETA was also there to reveal Mario Barth's international "Ink Not Mink" campaign. Other notable guests included: Jack Osbourne; Mark McGrath (Sugar Ray); Steve Jones (The Sex Pistols); Billy Morrison (The Cult); Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses); Mix Master Mike (The Beastie Boys); and Evan Seinfeld (Biohazard).

Visitors of The Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth poured in all weekend, some waiting in line for up to one hour. Convention guests caught a glimpse of film legend Sylvester Stallone roaming around the show Saturday checking out the different artists and their work. In addition, Las Vegas-based rock band Escape the Fate preformed for the tattooed crowd Friday evening.

Tattoo artists from all over the world were flown in to Las Vegas from as far as Japan and Samoa. Top tattoo artists at the show included: Bowery Stanley Moskowitz, Lyle Tuttle, Kate Hellenbrand, Japan's Horitoshi family, the Borneo Headhunters, Polynesian Sua Petelo family and Peter Sulu Ape, gave visitors a chance to be tattooed by the best.

In true rock star fashion the parties never stopped, on Friday, Oct. 2, invited guests enjoyed Mario Barth's Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth After-Party hosted by Slash (Guns N' Roses) & Friends, featuring the Darling Stilettos at Jet Nightclub inside The Mirage.

The party continued Saturday, Oct. 3 at ROK Vegas nightclub inside the New York-New York. Jonas Lowrance owner of ROK stated, "Mario Barth is the most amazing host a club could have. He knows how to make any party amazing. We can't wait until next year to do it again." The Biggest Tattoo Show on Earth closing party packed The Bank nightclub inside Bellagio on Sunday, Oct. 4, and Dave Navarro, DJ Skribble, and DJ Slynkee gave a stellar performance.
