MediGold(R) Program Selects Healthation's AboveHealth(R) for Health Plan, Member, and Provider Portals

DARIEN, IL--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 3, 2008 -- Healthation, a leading healthcare claims and benefits software company, today announced that it has signed a three-year Software as a Service Agreement (SaaS) with MediGold, a Mount Carmel Health Plan Medicare Advantage Product. MediGold will implement AboveHealth®, the industry leading, e-business healthcare portal to deliver interactive, real-time communication and administration capabilities to its Health Plan, Member and Provider communities.

AboveHealth will enable MediGold to create a more positive consumer experience while enhancing their current consumer outreach, communication and enrollment and other administrative capabilities to its stakeholder community. The implementation of AboveHealth will allow MediGold to interact in real time via the internet with members, provider and plan sponsors. The provider portal augments communication, administration and authorization capabilities thereby reducing the costs of traditional provider authorization and credentialing operations while increasing workflow synergies between provider offices and in-house provider relations units. The member portal securely supports open enrollment activities and other traditional customer facing operations lowering internal call volumes and increasing the overall efficiency of customer service operations.
