Medicines Co. President and COO John Kelley resigns to pursue other interests

PARSIPPANY, N.J. (AP) -- Drug maker Medicines Co. said Friday President and Chief Operating Officer John P. Kelley resigned to pursue other interests.
He also resigned from the board of directors. Kelley, 55, will serve as a special adviser to the CEO until either Dec. 31 or the day he finds employment elsewhere.
