Gold companies shares up at noon

NEW YORK (AP) -- 

Shares of some top gold companies are up at noon:
Barrick Gold rose $1.39 or 3.3 percent, to $43.02.
Gold Fields rose $.60 or 4.3 percent, to $14.60.
Goldcorp rose $2.81 or 6.8 percent, to $44.04.
Newmont Mining rose $2.02 or 4.1 percent, to $51.06.
