Monmouth Real Estate prices 1.7 million offering at $6.50 per share

FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) -- Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corp. on Thursday priced an offering of about 1.7 million shares at $6.50 per share.
Net proceeds, which are anticipated to total about $10 million, will be used to buy additional properties and for general corporate purposes. The deal is expected to close on Oct. 20.
CSCA Capital Advisors is acting as the placement agent for the transaction.
Shares of Monmouth Real Estate fell 22 cents, or 3.1 percent, to $7 in afternoon trading.
