FREEHOLD, N.J., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Monmouth Real Estate Investment Corporation (Nasdaq: MNRTA - News; the "Company") today announced the pricing of a registered direct placement of approximately 1,700,000 common shares at an offering price of $6.50. The Company expects to receive net proceeds from the offering of approximately $10 million and expects to close the transaction on or about October 20, 2009. The Company intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to purchase additional properties in the ordinary course of business and for general corporate purposes. CSCA Capital Advisors, LLC acted as Placement Agent for the transaction. The common shares were issued pursuant to a prospectus supplement and accompanying prospectus filed as part of an existing effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Form S-3.
