Mt. Diablo Region YMCA Hosts Third Annual Thrive in the New Year Celebration

Free Community Event, Presented by Kaiser Permanente, Set for January 10th

PLEASANT HILL, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 5, 2009 -- The Mt. Diablo Region YMCA will host its third annual Thrive in the New Year Celebration, presented by Kaiser Permanente, at the Irvin Deutscher Family YMCA on January 10, 2009 from 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

The free community event will include a sparkling cider toast, express group fitness classes designed for all ages, yoga for youth and adults, cooking demonstrations, physician-driven seminars on various health-related topics, nutritional information, guided facility tours, arts and crafts and much more. In addition, free blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose testing as well as BMI screening will take place at the celebration.

In addition to this free community event, all community members that sign up for a new membership at the YMCA will receive a member starter kit, courtesy of Kaiser Permanente. For additional incentive, all Kaiser Permanente employees and members will receive a special discount on membership if they join at either the Irvin Deutscher Family YMCA or the Delta Family YMCA.
