WALTHAM, Mass. (AP) -- Medical device maker NeuroMetrix Inc. on Thursday named Thomas T. Higgins as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Higgins was previously executive vice president and CFO of Caliper Life Sciences Inc., which provides technology and services for life sciences research.
He replaces Joseph A. Calo, who had been acting finance chief and treasurer. Before that, the CFO was W. Bradford Smith, who left in 2008 to pursue another opportunity in the life sciences sector, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Shares added 9 cents to close at $2.33.
