Acquisition of High Quality K-8 School expands presence in Southern California

WEST CHESTER, Pa., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Nobel Learning Communities, Inc. (Nasdaq: NLCI - News), a leading operator of private preschools, elementary and middle schools and K-12 online distance learning, today announced it has acquired The Rhoades School, a leading school for gifted and talented students in Grades K - 8 located in Encinitas, California.

The acquisition of The Rhoades School follows the Company's recent acquisition of Laurel Springs School, a college preparatory K-12 private school offering online and distance learning programs announced earlier this month. "We are pleased with both of our recent acquisitions and believe they represent further progress towards achieving our vision of seeking to deliver educational programs in multiple modalities to meet the learning styles and needs of our students, which now includes the ability to offer a "brick and click" delivery model." Nobel Learning used its existing cash resources and credit facility to pay the purchase price.
