Northrop Grumman gets Homeland Security contract covering immigration

RESTON, Va. (AP) -- Northrop Grumman Corp. said Tuesday it won a $46 million contract to provide communication help to U.S. immigration and customs enforcement.

The contract from the U.S. Homeland Security Department runs for one base year with four one-year options.

Northrop Grumman said its information systems unit will give technical services for law enforcement functions.

Subcontractors include CoSolutions of Sterling, Va.; Highlight Technologies of Fairfax, Va.; Morgan Borszcz Consulting of Arlington, Va.; CISglobal of Rockville, Md.; and Milvets Systems Technology of Lanham, Md. The work will be done in Fairfax.

Shares of Northrop Grumman fell 8 cents to $53.85 in afternoon trading.
