Parametric Technology names board member
Parametric Technology appoints Robert Schechter to board of directors

NEEDHAM, Mass. (AP) -- Software company Parametric Technology Corp. said Thursday it appointed Robert Schechter to its board of directors.
Schechter served as chairman and CEO at LiveWire Mobile Inc., formerly known as NMS Communications. He was CEO from 1995 to 2008.
Before that, he held various positions as chief financial officer and senior vice president at Lotus Development Corp.
He also serves on the board of Unica Corp. Previously, he held board positions at LiveWire, Moldflow Corp., MapInfo Corp. and others.
Shares of PTC fell 12 cents to $13.82 in afternoon trading.
