PartnerRe expands board, appoints JPMorgan exec
PartnerRe names JPMorgan executive Roberto Mendoza to fill newly created board seat

NEW YORK (AP) -- Reinsurer PartnerRe Ltd. said Monday it expanded its board of directors by one seat, naming a longtime executive at JPMorgan to fill the position.
Roberto Mendoza, also a former board member of Paris Re, spent more than 30 years at JPMorgan, where he was vice chairman from 1990 to 2000.
Mendoza, 64, is also the former chairman of XL Capital Ltd. and Egg PLC.
PartnerRe approved the additional board seat at a special shareholders meeting Sept. 24
Shares of PartnerRe fell 39 cents to $76.57 in morning trading.
