DENVER (AP) -- Oil and gas company Petroleum Development Corp. said Friday it appointed James Trimble to its board of directors, effective Sept. 12.
The appointment raised the number of board members to nine from eight.
Trimble serves as CEO of Grand Gulf Energy Ltd., a public company traded on the Australian Exchange.
Shares of Petroleum Development rose 14 cents to $18.63 in morning trading.
