SAN ANTONIO, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Pioneer Drilling Company, Inc. (NYSE Amex: PDC) today announced that it will participate in the Johnson Rice 2009 Energy Conference to be held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in New Orleans on October 6-8, 2009.

Wm. Stacy Locke, President and CEO of Pioneer Drilling, is scheduled to make a presentation to the conference at 3:45 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, October 7.
