Post Properties says overallotment exercised on recent offering of 3.5 million shares

ATLANTA (AP) -- Post Properties Inc. said Friday that the underwriters of a recently announced stock offering have exercised their full overallotment option of 525,000 shares.
J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo Securities are serving as the joint managers for the 3.5 million-share offering.
Post Properties said the overallotment option brings the total expected proceeds to $68 million. It expects to close the offering at $17.75 per share on Sept. 29.
