TARRYTOWN, N.Y. (AP) -- Biotechnology company Progenics Pharmaceuticals Inc. said Tuesday it promoted Mark R. Baker, who was an executive vice president, to the newly created position of president and appointed him to the board of directors.
Baker's new role gives him responsibility over the company's commercial development, strategic planning, business development, investor relations, corporate communications, finance and accounting, operations and legal affairs.
Also, the addition expands the board to nine members.
Shares of Progenics rose 4 cents to $5.37 in afternoon trading.
