Pure Energy Launches New C and D Size Rechargeable Alkaline Batteries

TORONTO--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 6, 2009 -- Pure Energy Visions Corporation (CDNX:PEV.V - News) (Frankfurt:XYQ.F - News) ("Pure Energy" or the "Corporation"), the leading Canadian provider of environmentally responsible rechargeable battery products, announced today that it is launching a new line of C and D size Rechargeable Alkaline batteries during the first quarter of 2009.

Pure Energy's C and D Rechargeable Alkaline batteries offer significant performance advantages, including increased capacity and significantly longer charge retention compared to C and D size rechargeable NiMH and NiCd batteries sold at retail by other national brands. Pure Energy's C and D size batteries have capacities of 3200 mAh and 8000 mAh respectively compared to capacities ranging from 2500-2900 mAh for C and D rechargeable NiMH batteries. Rechargeable Alkaline C and D size batteries are also ready-to-use out of the package and have a 7 year shelf life -- 40 times longer than NiMH C and D size batteries.

These performance advantages will make Rechargeable Alkaline C and D size batteries the ideal choice for several consumer products including a variety of audio products, toys and flashlights. Flashlights in particular will benefit from the use of Rechargeable Alkaline batteries as the rapid shelf-discharge properties of NiCd and NiMH batteries are a source of frustration for consumers.
