CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2009) - Pure Energy Services Ltd. ("Pure Energy") (TSX:PSV - News) announced today that Brian Peters has stepped down as Pure Energy's Chief Financial Officer to pursue other career opportunities. During his tenure, Mr. Peters has made significant contributions to Pure Energy, including his assistance in the merger with and integration of Canadian Sub-Surface Energy Services Corp. ("CanSub"). Pure Energy thanks Mr. Peters for his contributions.
Chris Martin, a chartered accountant, has been appointed as Pure Energy's Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Martin was the Chief Financial Officer of CanSub, a public oilfield service company with wireline and production testing operations in Western Canada, before its merger with Pure Energy. Prior to joining CanSub, Mr. Martin held CFO positions with several public companies in the oil and natural gas production and technology sectors. Mr. Martin assisted in the integration of Pure Energy and CanSub after their merger. Mr. Peters will assist in the orderly transition of duties to Mr. Martin.
Pure Energy is an oilfield services company that provides completion and drilling related services to oil and gas exploration and development entities in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Pure Energy Services (USA), Inc., in the Rocky Mountain region of the United States.
