IP Geolocation Enables Adserver to Personalise Web Visitor Experience
LONDON--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 18, 2008 -- Quova, Inc., the leading provider of Internet geolocation data services, today announced that Emediate, a provider of digital advertising technology solutions and services, has integrated Quova's IP geolocation data into its Web analytics and adserving platform, EmediateAd. The platform provides campaign and creative management controls that enable advertisers to easily analyse traffic, target, track and optimise campaign activity as intuitively as possible.
Quova's Internet geolocation data automatically recognises the IP address and in real-time determines the location of the Web visitor. This allows Emediate customers such as Eniro and Bonnier to initiate targeted advertising campaigns with localised images, language, currency and referrals to local stores. Serving targeted ads with relevant content to users based on their location, drives more successful click-through rates and increase sales.
Emediate uses simple business rules to interpret the IP geolocation data and accurately serve targeted adverts. For example, a rule may read "If from Spain, serve Spain-targeted ad." The Quova data is 99.9% accurate at the country level (Independent research conducted by Pricewaterhouse Coopers).
In addition, Emediate offers their integrated location data to publishing customers looking to provide geotargeting services to their own advertising clients, bringing added value to existing propositions.
