WAYNE, N.J. (AP) -- Russ Berrie and Co. said Wednesday that shareholders have approved plans to change its corporate name to Kid Brands Inc.
The company said the new name, which takes effect immediately, shows its concentration on infant and juvenile products.
The company said it will still market products under the brands of its subsidiaries, including Kids Line, LaJobi, Sassy and CoCaLo, and will continue to offer programs under licenses including Carter's, Disney, Graco and Serta.
The stock, which was trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the "RUS" ticker, will now use the "KID" ticker.
