CHICAGO, IL--(MARKET WIRE)--Dec 2, 2008 -- Environmentally conscious people often wear buttons or display bumper stickers to show their green pride. A new website gives these people an innovative way to declare their support for the environment. SeeImGreen.com allows eco-enthusiasts to put a marker over their house on a map of the world.

"Each user fills out a profile which includes a checklist of 60 green activities," says Ian Cull, President of Indoor Sciences, Inc. the owner of the website. "After filling out a profile, users will find a marker over their house on the map. Click on any of the markers on the website, and you can read users' bios, advice to neighbors and a list of their green activities."

Mr. Cull first came up with the idea for the website when wondering what his neighbors were doing, if anything, for the environment. "I wanted to create a site where I could see environmentally conscious neighbors, organizations, and businesses all on one map," explains Mr. Cull. "As a licensed environmental engineer specializing in green buildings, I'm interested in knowing what resources are all around me."

SeeImGreen.com includes discussion boards and social networking tools so users can communicate with other like-minded individuals. "We're hoping to attract both the lifelong environmental enthusiast and those just starting to go green. The website provides practical advice for anyone wanting to save energy, reduce waste, conserve water and have a healthier indoor environment," says Mr. Cull.

The website is free for individuals and non-profit organizations but charges a nominal fee for businesses that either sell green products or have incorporated environmental sustainability into their practices. SeeImGreen.com uses Google Maps API (Application Programming Interface) as the mapping platform.
