FRANKFURT (AP) -- German industrial conglomerate Siemens AG has received an order for streetcars from the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System worth some euro140 million ($206 million), the company said Wednesday.
Munich-based Siemens said the order was for 57 S70 model streetcars, and that delivery would start in 2011.
The cars will be built entirely at Siemens' Sacramento, California plant, the company said.
Shares of Siemens were down slightly at euro63.05 in Frankfurt afternoon trading.
