PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. said Tuesday it received a contract from the Social Security Administration to management construction on a new data center.
The GSA Mid-Atlantic Region contract, which is for an undisclosed amount and at an undisclosed location, entails building a facility for the SSA's National Computer Center.
The cost of the new center is estimated at over $300 million and is part of an overall $500 million project.
In afternoon trading, Jacobs Engineering's shares fell 64 cents to $45.41.
