NEW YORK (AP) -- The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Sprint Nextel Corp., up 38 cents at $4.15

A U.K. newspaper reported that Germany's Deutsche Telekom is weighing a takeover bid for the U.S. telecommunications company.

Tenet Healthcare Corp., up 30 cents at $5.75

Profit from continuing operations for 2009 will be better than expected, the hospital operator said after a strong third quarter.

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., up 51 cents at $17.78

The biggest U.S. tire maker surged after the Obama administration decided to raise tariffs on imports of Chinese tires for three years.

Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp., down $1.24 at $19.73

RBC Capital Markets downgraded the silver miner after a big run-up in its stock price since July amid a surge in gold and silver prices.

Eli Lilly & Co., up 31 cents at $33.13

The drugmaker is cutting 5,500 jobs, shaving $1 billion of its costs and reorganizing into five business units over the next couple years.

AES Corp., up 64 cents at $14.79

A media report of a possible investment in the power plant company by a Chinese sovereign wealth fund sent shares to a 52-week high.
