HELSINKI, Finland, Oct. 7, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Stora Enso Oyj was informed on 7 October 2009 that the number of shares in the Company held by Tradewinds Global Investors, LLC (USA registered number 801-65208) has decreased below 5% of the paid-up share capital and the number of shares in Stora Enso Oyj on 30 September 2009.

With reference to Chapter 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Securities Markets Act, Stora Enso Oyj is reporting that as of 30 September 2009, the shareholding of Tradewinds Global Investors, LLC is as follows:
