Symantec Provides Protection With Norton 360 on Gateway and eMachines PC Brands

CUPERTINO, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Nov 24, 2008 -- Symantec Corp. (NasdaqGS:SYMC - News), makers of Norton security software, today announced that Norton 360 version 2.0 will be included on Gateway and eMachines branded consumer laptops and desktops sold in North America and additional countries worldwide. Under the agreement, Gateway and eMachines customers will be able to use a full-featured 60-day introductory subscription of the award-winning Norton 360 at no extra charge.

Norton 360 eliminates the need to purchase and manage multiple security and utility products by combining Symantec's industry-leading protection and performance in an easy to use all-in-one security solution. The product defends PCs against a broad range of online threats and protects against identity theft by blocking phishing Web sites and verifying trusted sites so consumers can safely shop, bank, or browse online. Norton 360 also includes PC tuneup functionality to help keep PCs running at peak performance.
