TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Expanding its leadership position in the global mobile industry, Syniverse Technologies (NYSE:SVR - News) announced today that Jerry Easom, Vice President of Industry Affairs, has been elected to the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA) Board of Directors by the voting members of the OMA.

In addition to this most recent appointment, Easom also has served on the boards of a number of other associations, including CompTel/ASCENT Alliance, the Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association, CTIA-The Wireless Association, Mobile Marketing Association, RCA, ATIS, SMS Forum and mTLD Top Level Domain.

Fred Harrison, OMA Chairman of the Board, said he expects Easom to be a valuable addition to the Board.
