ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Synovis Life Technologies Inc. said Wednesday its orthopedic and wound care business passed a California health inspection, allowing it to make and sell two soft tissue repair products.

The company said it can make and market the OrthADAPT Bioimplant and Unite Biomatrix after getting clearance from the California Department of Public Health Inspection. OrthADAPT is a tissue scaffold used to reinforce repairs of the rotator cuff and Achilles tendon and other orthopedic surgical procedures. Unite is a wound dressing for chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers.

Synovis bought the orthopedic and wound care business from Pegasus Biologics in July. In afternoon trading, Synovis stock added 6 cents to $13.73.
