(NASDAQ:TMRK - News), a leading global provider of managed IT infrastructure services, today announced the appointment of Marvin Wheeler, former Chief Operations Officer and President of the U.S. Commercial Business Unit, as Chief Strategy Officer. In this new role, Wheeler’s primary responsibilities will include leading the ongoing development of Terremark’s corporate strategy and identifying key opportunities to drive continued growth for the company, including potential acquisitions.
Wheeler’s new duties will focus on directing corporate initiatives and developing strategic alliances with key corporate partners in order to help Terremark maintain its position as a leading provider of cutting-edge IT solutions for enterprises and Federal government agencies. Working closely with Terremark’s Product Development, Operations and Sales teams, he will directly align overall corporate strategies with the continued development of innovative products and services that effectively meet the evolving needs in the complex IT infrastructure market.

Nelson Fonseca has been named Terremark’s Chief Operating Officer. During his eight years at the company, Fonseca has held various key management positions including President of Terremark’s Public Sector Business Unit, Senior Vice President of Sales for Terremark Federal Group, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Terremark Worldwide, and Vice President of Commercial Sales.
The above mentioned management changes will become effective November 15, 2009.
