PASADENA, Calif. (AP) -- Tetra Tech Inc. said Thursday it received a $25 million contract from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to support watershed and coastal protection programs in the Pacific Southwest.
The engineering consulting firm said the five-year contract from the agency's Pacific Southwest Region Water Division expands its support of the EPA's West Coast programs, including pollution prevention and sustainable water infrastructure activities.
Tetra Tech will help the EPA and its state, territorial and tribal partners implement water programs related to the Clean Water Act, the Marine Protection and Sanctuaries Research Act, and the Safe Drinking Water Act.
It will also help the EPA promote sustainable water infrastructure practices through energy and water efficiency, green infrastructure and other environmental projects.
Shares of Tetra Tech slid $1.27, or 4.5 percent, to $27.15 in morning trading.
