HOUSTON, Sept. 23, 2009 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- With great anticipation, the Starship Orion headed into the dark void that was before them. Surprisingly, the Ultra Intelligent Beings (UIB) declared that they were in a very different place as they looked at the stars around them. The starship was excited as they may come into contact with life -- a new civilization. They continued to move into the stellar system with apprehension about the imminent contact. Everybody in the starship wondered what that would be like. Are they like us? What will transpire in this meeting? Author Dave Rhodes' third book of a trilogy, Humble Giants -- Alien, invites us to go aboard the Starship Orion to find out the answers to these intriguing questions.
The scanners of the Starship Orion showed the ground, and the bridge were looking at cities with many houses and alien buildings -- manifesting a once very civilized planet. The Capitan made contact with the aliens, but things went wrong when the Aliens boarded the starship. The Capitan would like to protest, but could his team fight? And if they could, would they win? On the other hand, the Ultra Intelligent Beings (UIB) were hustling in deconstructing their nano bots and taking on another form. Becoming invisible as they decomposed their nano bots, they became part of the ship itself. They saw what was going on and they were concerned for the crew as the aliens controlled the Capitan and were moving into the ship -- taking prisoner everybody that they came in contact with. The aliens tapped into the ship's main computer and took control of the ship -- trying to find out what they wanted to know about the ship.
Geared with high-tech tools and machines, Diana and a few others were making their best effort to fulfill their given mission on the surface, while the UIBs continued to move unseen, feeding the aliens with false information, and tried to bring the ship back up to operational detail without being noticed. Will they succeed in their missions? But, were these the same aliens that destroyed the Barnard stellar system? How big is their empire? And what was the real plot of Starship Orion to escape from the hands of the aliens? Would Diana and her group succeed on their mission? Would Starship Orion be able to go home? Read this book to find out.
