(TSX: TH.TO - News)(NASDAQ: THER - News) announced today that the Superior Court of Quebec has authorized the institution of a class action and an action based on the secondary market liability provisions of the Quebec Securities Act against Theratechnologies (the "Company"), its current Chairman of the Board of Directors and its former president and chief executive officer on behalf of persons who were shareholders at May 21, 2010 and who sold their common shares of the Company on May 25 or 26, 2010.

The representative of this class of persons is 121851 Canada Inc., a former shareholder of the Company.
