Towerstream (NASDAQ:TWER - News), a leading fixed WiMAX service provider, today
announced that it signed a record number of contracts in June. The Company
has also announced improvements to its Sales and
Customer Care organizations. To support these initiatives, Towerstream
has promoted Matt Tooker as VP of Sales and Erin McFarlane has rejoined the
Company as Director of Customer Care.
After significant research and testing, Towerstream has evolved its Sales platform to incorporate both outbound, call center-based sales and a web-based, inbound program. The digital portion is driven by significant online opportunities garnered through a targeted, online marketing campaign. As a result, the Company's Sales force will receive more qualified leads, enabling each rep to enhance their productivity and success in capturing demand for business broadband.
By optimizing its Sales Platform, the Company signed a record number of contracts, representing a 28% increase over the previous record.
In his new role, Tooker will drive Towerstream's inbound and outbound sales activities forward, building off his existing experience and knowledge of Towerstream's business and sales strategies. Prior to taking this position, he was Towerstream's East Coast Sales Manager, charged with managing the Company's sales teams for Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York City and Providence/Newport.
Towerstream's Customer Care program has also been modified to focus on both proactive and reactive customer service, while also evolving its customer service and network monitoring technologies. As a result, network and customer issues will be addressed before they affect service, which will increase customer satisfaction and lower churn.
McFarlane will leverage her extensive customer service and sales experience to manage Towerstream's 24x7 Customer Care call center, which provides troubleshooting and operational monitoring for Towerstream's business broadband network.
