Uranium Energy Corp. (UEC) is a natural resource exploration company engaged in the exploration of properties that may contain uranium minerals in the United States. As of July 31, 2009, the Company had interests in 46,752 gross acres (39,224 net mineral acres) of leased or staked mineral properties, consisting of claim blocks located in the states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wyoming. The Goliad Project in Goliad County, Texas, and the Cebolleta Project, in Cibola County, New Mexico, are the Company's principal mineral properties.

"UEC recently announced it has entered into an option agreement with Neutron Energy Inc., a Nevada corporation, granting Neutron the exclusive option to purchase the Company's 49%-interest in Cibola Resources LLC for a cash payment of $11 million. In order to exercise its Option, Neutron must give the Company written notice of its intention to exercise the Option by December 31, 2009, and to pay by January 10, 2010. If Neutron does not provide the Company with the written notice of exercise by the end of this year, the Option shall terminate and the Option Agreement shall be of no further force or effect.
"UEC also announced this past October that it has entered into an agreement with URN Resources Inc., a subsidiary of Uranium One Inc., and an agreement in principle with Everest Exploration Inc., to collectively acquire a 100% ownership interest in the South Texas Mining Venture, L.L.P., a Texas limited liability partnership."
